In winter with skis, snowshoes, tracked vehicle, on foot.... The Wasenalp mountain inn can be reached by car in summer. From the Simplon Pass road, in Rothwald, a turn-off leads 2.2 km to Wasenalp. The journey from Rothwald takes about 5 minutes. If you are arriving by public transport, take the Postbus in the direction of Simplon / Gondo. Simply get off at the Rothwald Schutzhaus stop and walk to the Wasenalp mountain inn via the hiking trail signs: Duration approx. 40 minutes. In winter, the Wasenalp road is closed because it is used as a ski slope for snow sports enthusiasts. There is free parking for cars on the pass road.
