Simplon Observatory

In the observatory of the AGO on the Simplon Pass, astronomers will take you to distant worlds.

Whether young or old, astrology novice or expert sky watcher, you are very welcome at the Simplon observatory. The observatory offers you an extraordinary experience.

On a visit at night, well-known planets, the moon or even unknown objects can be sought out. With the 16-inch telescope, during the day spots on the surface of the sun can be observed.

Public guided tours take place on fixed dates . The visit is free of charge. However, you should not refrain from making a donation for the operation of the observatory.

Depending on your interest, you can also book an individual guided tour: always in consultation with the organiser. The observatory has a training room. The telescopes are located in the second building. The visit lasts between 2 - 3 hours.
