The Simplon-Adler Observatory is located at 2,000 metres above sea level and is operational all year round.

 The AGO is an association for astro-amateurs from the Upper Valais. The aim is to establish friendly and scientific relations. The AGO promotes the observing activities as well as the dissemination of knowledge about astronomy and related fields of knowledge of its members. Furthermore, astronomy enthusiasts shall be addressed and enthused at public observing evenings and special celestial events.

Good to know
------------

Directions & Parking facilities

Public transportation: The “Simplon, Monte Leone” bus stop is located in the immediate vicinity. From Brig train station, you can reach the observatory in about 45 minutes.

Directions: You can park for free at the Hotel Monte Leone. From there, it takes about 10 minutes to reach the observatory.
