The path takes you over the gallery roofs of the Simplonpass road with varied impressions. You let your gaze drift to the right from Simplonpass. The open panorama stretches from Tochuhorn, Staldhorn, and Glishorn over Bietschhorn. At the end of the Tafern Valley and Saltina Gorge, the Alpine town Brig can be seen. The sunny Rosswald ridge is clearly visible in the foreground, while behind it you can admire Rieder and Bettmeralp at the Aletsch Glacier. Arriving at the Simplonpass, you descend following the switchbacks on the Stockalperweg down into the Tafern Valley. Before reaching the Tafernabach stream, you turn right and ascend towards «Tschiife». Sheep and horses spend the warm summer months here. You cross the stream «Chalti Wasser», which carries meltwater from the Chaltwasser Glacier below Monte Leone into the valley. Following the path, you return to the starting point – the post bus stop Schallbett."
