Woodcarving Week at Rosswald

  • Season news

In mid-July, Rosswald was transformed into an open-air studio.
Eight wood sculptors worked on their pieces on site, allowing visitors to witness the creative process firsthand. The result was a diverse collection of sculptures made from larch wood: the works range from the legendary “Rollibock” to a finely crafted fern leaf and even a fireplace. The participating artists were Leo Kambourian, Sara Zünd, Remo Meier, Lars Baggenstos, Daniel Züsli, Franziska Frutiger, Camilla Braunger, and Marcel Eyer.

The works are on display at Rosswald (near the mountain station) through the fall. They can be admired and, if interested, purchased.
