A Glimpse of Brig-Glis – Wakker Prize 2026
We invite you to learn more about the history and people of the municipality of Brig-Glis—the 2026 Wakker Prize winner—through short themed guided tours of the town.
Stroll along the historic paths of the lower village and take a glimpse into the past at Supersaxo Castle and the Lambienhaus. – Damian Walliser
Take a walking tour to explore the old schoolhouse, the village square, and the Glis cemetery, and learn more about the design objectives of the competition. – Roland Imhof
Visit the Glis pilgrimage church with its magnificent interior and marvel at the architecture of the renowned master builders Ruffiner and the Bodmer brothers.
Discover the old Oberdorf with the historic Burgerhaus and the Heidenhaus, as well as other hidden treasures.
The short guided tours begin every hour on the hour from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; the last tour starts at 8:00 p.m. Church tours are only available between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
