With his music for A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, Felix Mendelssohn created one of the most enchanting sound worlds of the Romantic era. Fairies, tangled romances and nocturnal magic from Shakespeare’s beloved comedy come vividly to life in shimmering colours. In a special version for wind quintet and narrator, the story unfolds anew: transparent, condensed, witty and full of charm.

Founded in 2022 and already award-winning, ENSEMBLE FOKUS combines chamber music precision with a joyful spirit of performance and narrative flair. Appearing on international stages, the ensemble is also dedicated to creative music outreach projects for diverse audiences.

ABOUT THE LIEDERGARTEN: Valais sunshine, a cool breeze, a camping chair, and the most beautiful cantilenas! Born as a summer 2020 Covid project, the LIEDERGARTEN is a constant fixture in the Valais cultural calendar: music from Baroque to Art Song and Pop echoes in the unique ambiance of the Stockalpergarten in Brig every Saturday in July. The perfect prelude to a warm summer evening!
