With Stockalper Castle, the historic old town and its location at the foot of the Simplon Pass, the municipality of Brig-Glis has a distinctive identity. At the same time, the town has always been in a state of flux and is constantly evolving.
Coinciding with the Wakker Year, the photographs in this exhibition document both striking and subtle changes that have shaped the townscape of Brig-Glis over the past decades. Historical and contemporary images highlight selected transformations and invite visitors to discover the town’s development from different perspectives.
