This multi-day tour is very challenging and requires experience in alpine terrain as well as a good level of fitness. However, the unique panorama of the Saas four-thousand-metre peaks, the tranquillity of the Zwischbergental valley and the Italian charm of Domodossola are well worth the effort. And: an authentic pizza or gelato awaits you at the end as a reward.
Depending on the weather and local conditions (snow, etc.), the tour is possible from around the end of June to mid-October.
The stages:
Day 1: Arrival in Saas-Fee
Day 2: Saas-Fee - Almagelleralp
Day 3: Almagelleralp - Zwischbergen
Day 4: Zwischbergen - Bognanco
Day 5: Bognanco - Domodossola

This multi-day tour is very demanding and poses a number of challenges:
- Experience and independent orientation in high alpine terrain
- Over-average fitness (8 hours of walking and overcoming over 1,000 meters of altitude are no problem)
- Sure-footedness, very good experience in walking on alpine hiking trails
- Experience in walking multi-day tours
- Correct assessment of the current weather situation
