Visit the Ecomuseum at the Alten Gasthof on the village square in Simplon Dorf. In the exhibition, you’ll learn more about the history of transit traffic across the Simplon Pass and its impact on the region and life in the mountain village.
Various exhibits, information panels, and photographs provide insights into Stockalper, Napoleon, Geo Chavez, and rural life in the Simplon region.
The museum is open during the summer months from June to October and can be visited on your own.
Guided tours of the Alten Gasthof are available year-round for groups upon request.
