Guided Tour of the Glis Pilgrimage Church

Glis has a long history as a place of pilgrimage.
Guided tours are available to visit the cemetery and the pilgrimage church. During the tour, visitors learn facts that are fascinating not only to those interested in religion. Culture and architecture enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy. During the short walk around the church, for example, the guide explains the church’s location, its history from its origins to the present-day building, the stained-glass windows, and the cemetery. Through the “Golden Gate”—as the side portal is also known—the group enters the interior of the church, where the tour concludes with information about the central aisle and the altars.

Date and time: upon request. Ideally, tours take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday in the afternoon or evening. If events or celebrations are taking place in the church, a tour is not possible.
