Guided Tour of the Kollegiumskirche in Brig

  • Guided tour
  • from CHF 10.00 p.P.
Discover the Collegiate Church of Brig and its sacristy, featuring liturgical objects, historical views, and fascinating insights into the church’s architectural history.
The Kollegiumskirche is situated in a unique location high above the town of Brig. It has shaped the town’s skyline since the 17th century and is one of the region’s most important religious sites, along with the Glis Pilgrimage Church and the Naters Parish Church.
During the tour, you’ll gain insights into the history of the former Jesuit settlement, its religious and cultural significance, and the church’s architectural history. An audio guide is also available, which can be accessed via a QR code on the church’s facade and inside the church.
A special highlight of the tour is the sacristy, which houses liturgical objects from southern German silversmithing centers as well as church vestments from various eras. Illustrations of historical views and architectural plans also trace the development of the college church and the college wing extending to the south.

Visits to the sacristy are available by appointment.
