The viewpoint at the golden eagle on the Simplon Pass is one of the most impressive places in the region. The monument, which is over four meters high, was built in 1944 in honor of the border brigade and towers majestically over the valley. From here, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding Alpine landscape – a perfect place for a break, a souvenir photo, or simply to pause for a moment. The viewpoint is easily accessible on foot and is a worthwhile stop on any trip to Simplon. A symbol of freedom, vision, and history.
