The Wasenalp fireplace has two hearths, which are located 100 meters apart directly in the alpine meadow and offer a magnificent mountain panorama. One fireplace is located at the crossroads 100 meters into the meadow by a boulder with a large table in the sun and with a view of the Frombach. The other fireplace is 100 meters further on the hill next to a side stream of the Frombach on the alpine meadow.
Perfect for a beautiful day of hiking on the Rothwald and Wasenalp.

Directions & Parking facilities
Public transport: The nearest bus stop is "Rothwald, Schutzhaus". From there, follow the hiking trail in the direction of Wasenalp up towards "Wintrigmatta". At the "Wintrigmatta" and "Bärufalle" junction, turn right until the fireplace comes into view. The hike from the shelter to the fireplace takes around 45 minutes.
How to get there: By car, you can park in the parking spaces next to the bus stop "Rothwald, Schutzhaus". From there, follow the hiking trail as described above.
