Kaspar Stockapler was probably the most successful early capitalist far and wide in his day. It is not only the Stockalper Palace in Brig that bears witness to his wealth - the extensive palace garden can also be seen. Particularly in summer, the Stockalper garden, which was converted in 2002, invites visitors to linger.

In the garden there are several fruit trees, beautiful lawns, a children's playground and a rose garden.

Kaspar Stockalper had the Stockalper Palace built in Brig between 1651 and 1671.

Peter von Stockalper, the great-grandfather of Kaspar von Stockalper, had the manor house built on the foundation walls of an older building around 1532.

The Fitness Palace opened its doors at the beginning of the 1980s. At that time, the premises were still small and the studio was located in the Alte Simplonstrasse.

The Simplon Pass connects the canton of Valais from Brig with the Val Divedro and Domodossola in northern Italy. Open all year round, the pass is praised as one of the most beautiful Alpine crossings.

Originally, the courtyard was intended as a transshipment point for the goods that were stored in the corridors under the arcades.

The multi-purpose facility can be rented for cultural events.
