Brig - Grindji - Ried-Brig - Brig

From Brig, you walk along the Saltina - past the open-air swimming pool Geschina and the large campsite - up to the Saltina bridge. Here, a stone road runs along the river up to the Grindji power station. The only strenuous part is the following steep ascent to Ried-Brig, up to the "Bleiken." After a short break, you hike on the high plateau with a view over the Rhone valley towards the village. Past the old village center, turn at the Hotel Simplon in Ried-Brig into the road to the "Bachi." As the name suggests, a beautiful driveway leads along a small creek through forest and meadows. Along the old Simplon road, also called Burgschaft, and past the beautiful Stockalperschloss, you return to Brig. This hike is especially recommended in spring and autumn.
