Enjoy the hike as a circular route or use the Lagginbiwak as a starting point for exciting mountain routes to the surrounding mountain peaks.

The round-arched passage at the Hotel Post in Simplon Dorf conveys the »entrance« to the large route through the quiet Laggintal. Just behind it, the path goes uphill over meadows to the Lowigrabu. Half an hour higher, the path crosses the Mälchgrabu and then winds between the rock faces on the northeast flank of the Wenghorn up to the small Antonius shrine, which is located high above the entrance to the Laggintal. Now the view opens up and the gaze can wander over the Laggintal. The narrow path now runs crosswise into the valley. Above the sheep alp Färricha, the white-red-white marked trail leads with a last ascent to the Lagginbiwak SAC.

The descent begins as a leisurely high-altitude hike and leads us with views of the Lagginhorn and the Weissmies over rocky meadow soils in slight ups and downs to the innermost Laggintal. Here you cross several glacier streams, where the path bends: down to the left, partly steep and slippery, and in loops avoiding the rocks. Below the huts of Bidemji you enter the forest. If the streams carry enough water, you can enjoy a great view of the waterfall. Via Laggii you walk out along the small road to the Simplonstrasse and up to Simplon Dorf.
