The 2-hour hike in the Simplon area leads from Engeloch via Stelli and Egga down to Simplon Village.

The hike starts in Engeloch. At the start of the route, you walk towards the Simplon Pass on the hiking trail to the bridge over the Chrummbach. Past the first huts in Chluismatte (refreshments available by reservation), the path begins to climb gently. At the junction, keep left and hike for a short section through the forest towards Simplon Village. The route continues comfortably without major climbs to Stelli. The path passes the alpine huts before the descent begins in gentle switchbacks down to Egga. Here there is a post bus stop, or the hike can continue along the Stockalperweg to Simplon Village.
