Fiescher Wyssa Suonenweg Trail

open
  • start: Fieschertal village square
  • destination: Fiesch railway station

From Fieschertal village square, cross the Weisswasser river. After the barn, turn right and head up to the bisse. At the fork in the path, it’s possible to take a quick detour (about 200 metres) along the bisse up to its water intake point, where you can admire the new wooden casings. Alternatively, take the left fork and follow the course of the bisse downhill until it ends in a stream, the Bärfetbach. From there, head towards Wiler and on to Fiesch railway station. For a circular hike, you can take the path that follows the old bisse, the Lagger Wyssa. The Lagger Wyssa runs parallel to the Fiescher Wyssa 50 metres higher up the hillside but no longer carries water.

If you’d prefer to start in Fiesch: from Fiesch railway station, cross the tracks and walk uphill towards the upper part of the village. After crossing the asphalt-paved Stirnigstrasse, you reach the turn-off to the Suonenweg Trail, right beneath the cable car cables.
