The adventure begins at the gravel pit entrance of Gabi. Over the three-rope bridge, you reach the main rock, which first passes over the road tunnel and then continues horizontally in a natural gallery to the first emergency exit above the forest. There, the vertical ascent of over 180 meters starts. The entire "Gabi Simplon" via ferrata is 750 m long and has 250 meters of elevation gain. From the start back to Gabi, it takes about 2.5 hours.
Via ferrata sets can be rented at the Arnold Bakery in Simplon Village for 25 CHF per half day.
The via ferrata is free to use; donations are welcome.
