Hittuwald

The circular hike starts in Simplon Dorf and leads over the Chrummbach stream to the “Hittuwald” forest opposite. Here you are surrounded by larch trees up to 850 years old. In autumn, the larches are covered in yellow-golden leaves. The hiking trail leads uphill through the larch forest. At an altitude of around 2,000 to 2,200 meters, a wonderful view of Simplon Dorf and the surrounding area awaits you. Here the trail continues to “Hohmatta” and finally back to Simplon Dorf via Stockalperweg. The breathtaking views and the open larch forest make this circular hike unique.
