Hike with a magnificent view of the young Rhone Valley at your feet and over the elongated southern mountain range.

You want to go over the Galebrunne? Explain it to me... The Goms people call the alpine pasture that sits high above the debris cone of the Ritzinger field after a massive rockslide the Galebrunne. Like an eagle's nest, from up there you enjoy a magnificent view of the young Rhone Valley at your feet and over the elongated southern mountain range that borders the Goms and connects Switzerland with Italy.

Safety guidelines

Use of the hiking trails is at your own risk. Obergoms Tourismus AG disclaims all liability and assumes no responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the information on this website.

Carry a hiking map with you or download the complete description of the hiking trail with a large-scale map. Use only marked paths and consider all markings and signs — for your own safety, for landscape protection, and out of respect for wildlife. Behave considerately toward other trail users. Take your waste and others' waste with you.

The weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing and sufficient provisions (food and drink) are very important. In unsettled weather, it is better to turn back early.

Carry additional sun protection. UV rays at high altitudes can be very strong, even with overcast skies.

Plan your route carefully and thoroughly. Inform yourself in advance about the current conditions and weather. The summer report https://www.goms.ch/sommersportbericht provides valuable information regarding this from the region.
