Three circular hiking routes have been established in Rosswald for walkers and hikers. The routes are marked in three colors.
- Blue: Bergwasser circular route
- Red: Saflischwald circular route
- Green: Rosswald circular route
On this hike, you follow the green signposts. Walk down the path between the Rosswald mountain station and the chapel. After about 500 m, you will reach a crossing. From here, always follow the signposts. The circular route is very well signposted. You hike about 100 m below the houses through the forest. It is a hike with a wonderful view. You look across the entire Simplon area and the gigantic Ganter bridge. At Schmidmatte, you return to a wider forest road. After the ascent to Fleschboden, you are rewarded with a wonderful view over the entire Rhone valley. Then you easily hike down over Saflischmatte back to Rosswald.
