From the Hotel Ganterwald, it's a leisurely walk up the tarred forest road that begins just behind the hotel. This leads to the upper Egge after crossing the Durstbach. Here a path leads directly up to the first chalet through a short piece of forest to the magnificent meadows of the Wasenalp. And soon you reach the highest point of the hike, the beautiful panorama terrace of the mountain restaurant Wasenalp. After hunger and thirst are no longer an issue, follow the Wasmerstrasse to the "Martinskehr". From here a beautiful path leads directly to Rothwald. From here you are back at the starting point - the Restaurant Ganterwald - in a few minutes over the sidewalk of the Simplonstrasse.
