The route starts at the Hotel Simplon Blick on the Simplon Pass. The hike continues to Alpstafel Hopsche and past the Hopschusee. Now the path becomes more demanding and begins to ascend gradually. At the signpost, turn right towards Gälmji, with Staldhorn always in view.
Take a short break and enjoy the view from Staldhorn before hiking back on the same path to the Simplon Pass.
