The Mäderhorn is climbed via the Mäderlicke.

Ascent

Rothwald – From the Rothwald ski lift top station, ascend to the Mäderlicke at the top of the Bodmertälli. The view during the route to the Mäderlicke is breathtaking. Afterwards, the Mäderhorn can also be climbed.

Descent

Rothwald – The descent follows the ascent track. Depending on hazard assessment, this may vary.

Simplon Pass – From the Mäderlicke, descend southeast to the plateau of the Chaltwasserpass. From here, proceed either to Unners Schallbett, Simplon Pass, or to Italy at Alpe Veglia.
