Nice, easy ski route, possible early in the winter. Often frequented. The route via the Nanzlicke is safer. You will be rewarded with a wonderful view.

Ascent

Simplon Pass – From the Simplon Pass at 2,005 m, head west, over the plains past the hamlet of Hopsche, into the traverse on the south slope of the Tochuhorn. Higher up, turn northwest and climb in the valley between Tochuhorn and Straffelgrat to the Üsseri Nanzlicke. From there, take the broad south ridge to the summit of Spitzhorli.

Descent

Simplon Pass – The descent follows the ascent route. Depending on the risk assessment, variations are possible.

Bielti – Under good and very safe conditions, at the traverse beneath Tochuhorn, you can descend to Bielti. After the descent, a roughly 30-minute climb back to the starting point at Simplon Pass follows.
