The short ski route of about 2 hours from Simplon Pass to the Staldhorn is especially suitable for beginners.

Ascent

Simplon Pass – From Simplon Pass at 2,005 m, head west across the plains past the hamlet of Hopsche. At around 2,200 m, turn right towards the northwest and continue up the ramp of the Gälmji to the pass. The summit is reached via the west ridge.

Descent

Simplon Pass – The descent follows the ascent route. Depending on the assessment of hazards, this may vary.
