  • Destination: Simplon, Engeloch
Viewed from the Simplon Pass, the Hübschhorn does not appear to be a ski mountain. In good conditions, the tour is one of the most rewarding in the region.

Ascent

Simplon Pass - After starting at the Simplon Pass (2,005 m), pass Rotelsee on the right and turn diagonally to the right, climbing the steep slope to the wide terrace below P. 2258. Shortly before P. 2258, turn left and climb the slope covered with boulders. At 2,400 m, you will reach a ramp whose southern flank runs parallel to the western ridge. Stay on this ramp until the slope becomes steeper, then switch to the southern ridge and climb to the winter summit. The last few meters must be covered on foot.

Descent

Simplonstrasse north of Engiloch – to P. 2258 as for the ascent, then head towards the Holiecht television mast and descend via Giblatt to the Simplonstrasse above the bend in Engiloch.
