Pretty, advanced snowshoeing route that is possible early in winter. Often frequented. You will be rewarded with a wonderful view.

Ascent

Simplonpass – From Simplonpass at 2,005 m, head west across the plains past the hamlet of Hopsche into the traverse on the south slope of Tochuhorn. Higher up, turn northwest and ascend the valley between Tochuhorn and Straffelgrat up to Usseri Nanzlicke. Over the broad southern ridge now towards the summit of Spitzhorli.
