The snowshoe route from Simplon Pass to the Staldhorn is especially suitable for adventurous snowshoers and summit hunters.

Ascent

Simplon Pass – From Simplon Pass at 2,005 m, head westwards across the plains past the hamlet of Hopsche. At about 2,200 m, turn right towards the northwest and continue up the ramp of the Gälmji to the pass. Reach the summit via the west ridge.

Descent

Simplon Pass – The descent follows the ascent route. Depending on the assessment of dangers, this may vary.
