This trail is one of the technically rather easy but no less beautiful snowshoe tours in the Goms. A must for nature lovers and romantics.
The snowshoe tour starts in Reckingen at Blinnensand and soon you reach the bridge that crosses the lively Blinne creek. At the Stadle you can see for the first time the Stalenkapelle on a height in the forest clearing.
The chapel was built in 1769 on the site of a former hermitage. Be sure to take time to discover this power spot and enjoy the view of the village Reckingen and the Goms mountain world. After the invigorating rest, the trail rises another 50 meters in altitude to the forest road, which in summer leads into the Blinne valley. In winter, the path into the wild romantic valley is inaccessible due to avalanche danger.
The highest point of the route is also the halfway mark. Then it continues with a gentle descent towards Reckingen. The majestic larches of the mountain forest dreamily line the trail. Once back in the mountain village, it is worth looking back. It was beautiful, the snowshoe tour to the Stalenkapelle!

Safety guidelines
The use of the snowshoe trails is at your own risk. Obergoms Tourismus AG assumes no liability and takes no responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the information on this website.
Local conditions may cause changes to the route. Carry a map with you or download the complete description of the hiking trail with a large-scale map. Use only marked paths and pay attention to all markings and signs - for your own safety, for the protection of the landscape, and out of respect for wild animals. Behave considerately towards other trail users. Take your waste and the waste of others with you.
The weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing and sufficient provisions (food and drink) are very important. In bad weather, it is better to turn back early.
Carry additional sun protection. UV rays at high altitudes can be very strong, especially in winter, even with overcast skies.
Plan your route carefully and thoroughly. Inform yourself beforehand about the current conditions (avalanche danger, cross-country ski trails, winter hiking trails, snowshoe trails, and road conditions) and weather conditions. The winter sports report provides valuable information from the region.
