The hike from Termen to Filet (Mörel) is varied and, apart from the climb from Mattigraben to “zen Achru,” not particularly strenuous. The route can also be extended from Brig via Biela. If you like, you can climb up to Tunetschalp from “zen Achru.” Especially in spring, you will hike through blossoming forests and along green meadows. In Tunetschgraben, a beautiful waterfall cascading down several steps awaits you. However, you should not linger here for too long. The terrain consists of loose rock that can also fall from the Folluhorn. After the steep ascent, you will reach the sunny plateau at “zen Achru” – ideal for a breather.
You then continue hiking through the forest down to Filet. Cross the bridge to reach Mörel, where you can connect to the MGB (Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn) back to Brig.
Important: The section from Mattigraben up to zen Achru is a T3 mountain hiking trail. There is no bridge in the trench to cross the water. You have to balance from stone to stone to get to the other side.
