Organic tomato and vegetable seedlings, wild perennials and native shrubs at the Brig market.
We are pleased to be present again this year with a seedling market in Brig. The nursery of the Visp Agricultural Center is once again our partner for vegetable seedlings. We will have a good 30 organically grown tomato varieties on offer, all of which are seed-resistant, many of them ProSpecieRara varieties. Pumpkins, courgettes, cucumbers and salads complete the range.
The tree nursery Triage Forestier from Fully will be offering native shrubs and trees as well as a small selection of wild perennials for sale.
Jonathan Cina will also be present for the first time with ReGeSol - regenerative solutions - and will supplement the range of wild perennials with plants from wildstauden.ch.
Summer flowers and berry bushes will be available at the stand of the Oberwallis Horticultural Association. In keeping with Bioterra's annual theme of "Zero Waste", organic sheep's wool - an ideal slow-release fertilizer - will also be on offer.
This year, the participating organizations also want to offer more space for information, exchange and advice. We are also inviting market visitors to swap seeds from their seed treasures
The proceeds from the sale of vegetable seedlings will go to the Bioterra regional group in Valais.
We will also have a small exhibition on the topic of "Food Waste".
