Far from the tourist crowds, a road winds from Gondo up to a terrace. Behind it opens a beautiful, varied, 16km-long valley - the Zwischbergental. This wildly romantic, sparsely inhabited area lies between high mountains on the border with Italy. The region became famous for the gold that was mined there. The life-giver is the wild river "The Great Water".
