You’ll reach the Swiss Crystal Hunter Museum through the tunnels of the old Naters Fortress. The journey there alone is well worth the trip. Once you arrive at the museum, you’ll find not only unique finds by crystal hunters but, above all, fascinating information about the craft, history, and passion of Swiss crystal hunters. The highlight of the museum is the in-house produced film, which you can watch in a multifunctional theater.
During the private guided tour, a passionate crystal hunter will share his enthusiasm for the crystals that captivate him. He’ll give you an insight into the craftsmanship required, for example, to extract crystals from the rock with as little damage as possible. You’ll learn how the crystals were formed, what a fissure actually looks like, and where the largest mining areas are located.

- The Swiss Crystal Hunter Museum, located in the Naters Fortress, is a 20-minute walk from the Brig train station.
A new hiking trail has been built from the old village of Naters through the rocks to the museum entrance. Continuing on, you’ll pass through the southern slope to Lalden. This means you can also reach the museum via the BLS South Ramp hiking trail (Hohtenn to Naters).
There are approximately 20 parking spaces below the museum. Parking directly in front of the Swiss Crystal Hunter Museum (Naters Fortress) is permitted only for people with limited mobility.
A minibus (16 seats) can reach the museum via the rocky path. The road is not passable for a large tour bus.
For groups, the “Kleine Simplon Express” is a suitable mode of transportation, offering space for up to 30 people. Price info
