In September 1906, the reformed parish of Brig was founded with its own statutes. The parish area covered the Rotten valley from Susten to Gletsch, the Visp valleys and the Lötschental. The situation was not easy for this diaspora community in Valais. They were therefore happy to receive support from outside. The Protestant church aid associations in the cantons of Bern and Geneva played an important role in this.
In 1930, the huge parish area was forced to split into the parishes of Brig and Visp.Guided tours: not possible
