Church
During the construction of the Simplon Tunnel, the hospital was located in the building of today's Protestant Reformed Parish of Brig. The parish of Brig acquired the building in 1918 and expanded it.
In September 1906, the Reformed parish of Brig was founded with its own statutes. The parish area included the Rotten valley from Susten to Gletsch, the Visper valleys and the Lötschen valley. The situation was not easy for this diaspora parish in the Valais. That is why they were happy to receive support from outside. The Protestant church relief associations of the cantons of Bern and Geneva played an important role in this.
In 1930, a division of the huge parish area into the parishes of Brig and Visp became urgent.
