The old Stockalper Trail leads through the beech forest in around 40 minutes to the area of the legendary Gondo gold mine.
Romans, Stockalper and speculators were in search of the yellow metal. We follow in their footsteps from the first discovery of gold to a tunnel in the gold mine. A hammer and chisel are waiting for the discoverers to strike their own piece of the coveted ore. Above the gold mills, the return route leads back to the gold mining village of Gondo.

Public transport: The bus stop "Gondo, Kirche" is in the immediate vicinity of the village square of Gondo, the starting point of the guided tour of the gold mines.
