In 1799, during the turmoil of the French Revolution, the sisters were forced to leave their convent. They flee to the mountains: to the Simplon Pass and partly to Italy. 1800 Reunification of the community and rebuilding of their work in 1848.
After the end of the Sonderbund War, difficulties again: Secularization of the estates, number of sisters is limited. 1853 The State of Valais again entrusts the sisters with the training of primary school teachers.
