Very close to Rosswald, at the Bortelalp, a pair of eagles has its breeding site. The eagles live in a large territory around the nesting site, so the eagles of Bortelalp are often seen above Rosswald.
The «King of the Skies», as the golden eagle is also called, is a fascinating bird of prey. On the circular route with quiz questions, you can learn a lot about this majestic bird.
At a total of seven stations, various questions are asked. Try to answer these and write the letter corresponding to the answer in the solution boxes on the back of the flyer. The flyer is available free of charge at the Rosswald cable car mountain station. At the end of your hike, you can read the solution word. The flyer shows the route and the locations where the signs are placed.

Weather-appropriate equipment is essential. Good, sturdy mountain boots are strongly recommended for all hikes.
Directions & Parking facilities
If you travel by private car, you drive to Ried-Brig to the valley station.
In summer, free parking spaces are available at the valley station.
Rosswald is conveniently accessible by public transport. From the post bus stop "Ried-Brig, valley station" the gondola lifts you further up.
