- Start: Oberwald, village
- Destination: Oberwald, village
Behind the village church Oberwald, the romantic snowshoe route leads away from everyday hustle and bustle into the seclusion of the deeply snow-covered Gommer mountain forest. Fairytale-like appears at the highest point of the route in the middle of a quiet clearing the Hotel/Restaurant Rhonequelle. Before passing through the bordering Pischewald as a gateway to civilization, a rest stop at the legendary St. Niklaus Chapel is recommended, with a far-reaching view over the Rhone valley.
