- Start: Rothwald
- Destination: Berisal
In Rothwald, you start towards Furggubäumlicke with a gentle ascent to Wasenalp. At Wintrigmatte, follow the wide path (Alpine Passes Trail No. 9) past the alpine huts to the next signpost. Here begins the ascent towards Furggubäumlicke. Passing numerous blueberry bushes, the terrain along the hiking trail becomes increasingly rocky. Just below Furggubäumlicke, there is a small pond. Then follows the steepest part of the ascent. Some sections are secured with handrails and iron steps. Good surefootedness is required. Depending on the season, there may still be a snowfield there. Upon reaching Furggubäumlicke, there is a fantastic view of the Rhone Valley and towards Italy / Alpe Veglia.
The descent follows the same path to the signpost above Heitrich. Here, choose the path towards Berisal. At the buildings in Schrickbodu, the path leads left through the forest to Berisal.
