Thanks to the forest road, the ascent to Lake Truetzi is not steep throughout. After the rather long ascent you are spoiled with the view of a beautiful mountain lake above the Rhone Valley.

The forest road is not laid out very steeply and in several turns we slowly walk upwards until the avalanche barriers. The pathway again gets steeper and smaller. After approx. 3 hours in total we reach the Galehitte, an old alpine buildung made from stone. This place is also used by hang-gliders as a starting area. After approx. one quarter of an hour we reach the junction in direction to lake Trützi. Here we climb up to the idyllic mountain lake. The path for climbing down is the same until the junction. Then we take the path leftside to Chäller and further climb down via Bärg to Geschinen.
