5th stage: Here it is: the Ecomuseum. As far as Gabi, you follow the historic route of the Stockalperweg with its “Case forti” on the Simplon and also along the entire section, which leads through an area full of pastures and small Walser villages. The village of Simplon, with its heavy stone houses that are perfectly adapted to the environment, houses the Ecomuseum, www.simplon.ch. From Gabi you climb the Furgu, a depression on the ridge that leads to the Seehorn, and then descend between the alpine pastures and meadows down the Zwischenbergental to the oratory of the same name and the nearby stage destination.

You can get to Zwischenbergen by post bus.
In Gondo, in the courtyard, in Bällegga, at the Sera reservoir and in Bord, there is a connection to the Gondo-Zwischenbergen postbus line. Please note that this is an on-call bus, the bus only runs if reservations have been made in advance. So please do not forget to register with the PostBus at +41 79 713 70 02 at least two hours before departure so that the bus will pick you up.
