Challenging ski tour to the Bortelhorn or the Punta del Rebbio Rauthorn in the Simplon region. Starting point of the tour is Berisal.

 

Ascent

Berisal – Ascend from the Berisal up to 2’400 m above the Bortelhütte. Continue upwards and east into a small hollow on the south to the northern end of the small Bortelglacier. Clearly turn into a south-southeast direction and over the Bortelglacier to the ski depot. In winter, the summit is rarely ascended.

Descent

Berisal – The descent is via the ascent route. This may vary depending on the risk assessment.

Directions

From the Berisal bus stop, you can follow the GPS route through the Ganter Valley to the Bortel Hut. The Bortelhorn is within sight of the Bortel Hut.
