Nice snowshoe tour that is possible early in winter. Often committed. You will be rewarded with a wonderful view.

Ascent

Simplon Pass - From the Simplon Pass at 2,005 m you head west, over the plains past the hamlet of Hopsche, into the traverse on the southern slope of the Tochuhorn. Further up, turn in a north-westerly direction and climb up in the valley between Tochuhorn and Straffelgrat to Üsseri Nanzlicke. The broad south ridge is now to the summit of the Spitzhorli.

Descent

Simplon Pass - The descent is via the ascent track. Depending on the assessment of the dangers, this can also vary.

Bielti - In good and very safe conditions, the descent down to Bielti is recommended at the point of the traverse under the Tochuhorn. After the descent, there is a 30-minute ascent back to the starting point of the Simplon Pass.
