From Schallberg (bus stop) you hike down to Grund, where Ganterbach, Taferna, and Nesselbach merge to form the Saltina. At Undre Schallberg, you cross the course of another, decommissioned Suone, the Breieri. From Grund, you ascend to the Alp Unners Nesseltal, where the Bärgeri begins. You hike along the Suone to Wurzukapälli and descend to the end point of the Suone at Wickert. From Wickert you reach Holzji (bus stop).
The Bärgeri-Suone springs from the Nesselbach. From there it flows along the flank of Glishorn towards Brig. The Bärgeri is a very old Suone: it was already known in the year 1327. From 1930, the Suone was diverted into pipes. In 1993 it was decommissioned and only restored in 2003. Since then, the Bärgeri has flowed again in the summer over longer stretches in an open channel. On two sections, wooden channels were laid in traditional construction.
