- Destination: Riederalp West
From Riederalp Mitte go east to the valley station of the Moosfluh glacier railway. Take the railway up to the starting point of the hike at the View Moosfluh. Along the ridge path you now hike westwards via Hohfluh to the Riederfurka, to the impressive Villa Cassel. Along the experiential trail you have the opportunity at five stations to immerse yourself deeper into the world of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Informative, acoustic and playful themes include wilderness and civilization, nature reserve and alpine farming, water shortage and water reservoir, ridge and poor souls, or nature conservation and tourism. Several beautiful viewpoints make this easy thematic trail additionally an experience. The last stage of the hike is the descent from the Riederfurka down to the Riederalp.
