Past the Briger Stockalperschloss, the path leads along the so-called "Römerweg" through open meadows via the hamlet of Brei to the "Chräjubielwald". The steep section up to the "Chalchofe" is overcome in two switchbacks. The hillside path to Schallberg was built by Stockalper in 1667 and offers a view of the impressive Saltinaschlucht. After descending to the floodplain in the "Grund", the path follows the Tafernabach over five wooden footbridges to the former Taferna guesthouse. Along artfully designed switchbacks, you overcome the last steep section to the pass height.
