The Gondo Marathon is the only two-day marathon in Switzerland. Ultratrail in memory of the storm in Gondo in Valais in 2000, when 13 people lost their lives.

The only two-day double marathon in Switzerland! The Gondo Marathon takes place in a magnificent pass landscape and mostly on single trails.

Two 42-kilometre routes, each with 2200 meters of ascent and descent, lead from Ried-Brig along the legendary Stockalperweg and the Talweg Ganter to the Simplon Pass, down to Gabi and, after the second steep ascent to Furggu, through the Zwischbergental valley back to Gondo. To commemorate 14 October 2000, when a huge landslide buried the village of Gondo and 13 people lost their lives, a two-day run covering a total of 84.4 kilometers and 4,200 meters of altitude is held every summer.
